Oklahoma Construction Accident Injuries and Deaths
The construction industry is inherently dangerous and construction workers in Oklahoma and across the United States put their lives at risk by working in and around heavy machinery and other potentially dangerous equipment on a daily basis. For this reason, workplace safety and protecting the well-being of employees is an important consideration, for construction workers in particular. Unfortunately, devastating construction accidents are an all-too-common occurrence in Oklahoma and throughout the U.S. As such, the construction industry has one of the highest rates of workplace injury and death of any other occupation in the country. In the state of Oklahoma, there are currently more than 50,000 men and women working in the construction industry, which saw nearly 1,000 fatal injuries on the job in 2008 alone.
